As one reflects on Chihuly's glass series, it becomes apparent that the glassblowing process involves adding multiple layers of color to produce the final piece of artwork. Confetti Blast, manifests this layering of colors beautifully and, as the name suggests, is a testament to Chihuly's passion for color, texture, and energy. The expressive application of paint in yellow, silver, green, and blue alludes to a structural function that stretches over the four printed colors to form the finished composition.
