CHIHULY BLACK LIMITED EDITION

Portland Press is pleased to release this extensive resource featuring the Black series from artist Dale Chihuly. Chihuly Black reveals the magnitude and dimension of the artist's newest body of work in the medium of glass as well as works on paper.

A limited edition book with a tri-fold intaglio print titled, Las Tres Hermanas Ikebanas, is now available, handsomely packaged in a leather-bound clamshell. Each ensemble includes a book with the artist's signature and a print boasting six colors of unique handwork.

Created using the sugarlift intaglio method, Las Tres Hermanas Ikebanas reveals delicate brush movement highlighted by the artist's fingerprints in iridescent acrylics. In keeping with his latest work in black, Chihuly has distinctly enhanced each print by the careful application of a blow-torch. The results showcase a novel texture never before seen in Chihuly's Original Limited Edition Prints.
